Biblically Compatible Archaeology and Geography

Mackey           Some by now well established biblico-archaeological parameters serve to fix, with some degree of precision, the era of the patriarch Joseph, son of Jacob.           Introduction   Joseph, that much loved Hebrew of Genesis who saved Egypt from its seven years of famine, is known from the Genesis narratives to have existed after Abraham, but before Moses. In very round figures, the famine that Joseph had predicted would have occurred about 200 years after Abram (later Abraham) encountered the coalition of four kings led by Chedorlaomer, as narrated in Genesis 14.
